Looking for a new series?

Most stitchers I know are making their stitching plans for the new year.  A favorite of many of them are charts that are in a series, either monthly or seasonal.  I wanted to share some of my charts that would be fun additions to stitching plans this year.

First there is the Mini Sampler Series.  This is a full set of 12 cute little samplers that can be finished as smalls, or individually to pop in and out of a frame.   Link to see the full series.

Then there is the Floral Postcard Series. This series of 12 charts add a classic touch to your stitchery display. See more of this series here.

And this is last years series.  They are about four inches square and designed to be displayed in a five in a five inch square frame.  They can be changed out monthly for a cute addition to your decor.  Link to see the whole series here.

This next seasonal series is a fun one.  It depicts the same little season through all four seasons.  Each chart includes charts for two little smalls that make great scissor fobs or bowl fillers.

Christmas Ornaments

This little collection of cross stitch ornaments are ones I’ve designed for the Just Cross Stitch Christmas Ornament magazine these past few years. There is one missing, but I’m sure I’ll  find it when we put up our tree and pull out all of the stitched ornaments.

It’s fun to be invited to submit an ornament each year.  I have the 2020 ornament all stitched. But no peeks before the issue is released next fall.
Do you decorate for the holidays with hand stitched decorations?   I love pulling out my hand stitched treasures and decorating the tree. I arrange larger pieces that I finished into pillows around the bottom. One side benefit is that stitched ornaments don’t break when naughty kitties try to rearrange the tree.

2019 ~ At a Glance

This poor blog has been so lonely this year while we've been putting in the grass, flowerbeds, garden boxes, and trees in our new yard. I'll do a post soon of what we did this summer.  Here is a quick rundown of my new released charts this year.

This little Plum Posies Pinkeep is a fun little stitch with soft, subtle colors.

Sweet Baby is a fun Baby Sampler that is easy to personalize. The chart has two colorways.  I got a new grand daughter in August, so now I can add her info to the pink version and she will match her brother.

This years Monthly Squared series was a fun one. They were released individually and are fun, quick projects. I found a square frame at Hobby Lobby and had them cut me twelve squares of foam board to size and I was able to mount the finished square and switch them into the frame to display.

Come back and visit again.  I'll have a peek of what is coming next year,

2018 News and Releases

2018 has been a busy year for our family.  First of all my husband retired. It has been a fun change to have him home more. Then if that wasn't enough, we built a new house and moved after 26 years of being in the house where we raised our family. Which means we have spent the whole summer dejunking before we moved into our new home. It has been a wonderful change.  My favorite part of the new house has to be the big front porch with comfy chairs for sitting and stitching. (When it is warm enough to be outside that is.) Until it warms up again I'll just curl up in my new recliner by the sunny window with a cat on my lap and stitch.

Here are the new releases for this year.  Birdhouse Garden, Sunflower Garden, and Bee Skep Garden. They are all available to order from your local needlework shop which can get them from Hoffman Distributing.

2017's Mini Sampler Series ~

This little series is one of my favorites!  The stitch count of each of them is 31 wide by 73 high.  You can stitch them up into little pillows or wall hangings.  I choose to frame mine.  I have each one stretched and pinned onto foam board and then I switch them into the same frame to display each month.  Check with your Local Needlework Shop to place your order.  Shop owners can contact me at madebywendy @ gmail .com to order.

New Spring Charts ~

I'm so excited about these three new charts that released this spring at the Nashville Needlework Market.

First of all there is SPRING FRILLS.  It is a set of three smalls.  Spring is 62 by 27 stitches, Bloomin' Spring is 50 by 27 stitches, and the Wreath is 43 by 43.  I stitched them on 32 count Cornsilk Linen from weeks Dye Works.  They are stitched with 2 ply of Sampler Threads from The Gentle Art over 2 threads of the linen.  The colors I used are Grape Leaf 7028, Crystal Lake 7075, Honey Dew 7087, Flax 1150, Old Brick 0320, Faded Rose 7090, and Cameo Pink 0730.

This is LOVE IS KIND. Love is Patient is 76 by 32 stitches and Faith Hope Charity is 68 by 67.  I stitched it on 32 count Baby's Breath Linen from Weeks Dye Works.  I stitched it with 2 ply of Classic Colorworks  threads and The Gentle Art threads over 2 linen threads.   Classic Colorworks threads are Straw Hat, St. Bernard, Chopped Chives, Cherry Tomato, Rose Petal, and Sampler Threads Honey Dew 7087 from The Gentle Art.

And there is EASTER BLESSINGS.  It has a fun small with eggs and bunnies, and a framed piece with a more formal, traditional design. Easter Blessings is 54 by 54 stitches. Eggs and Bunnies is 35 by 51 stitches.  They are stitched over 2 threads on 32 count Baby's Breath Linen from Weeks Dye Works with 2 ply of these Classic Colorworks threads.  Argyle Socks, Lemon Grass, Strawberry Parfait, Sea Shelley, Rain Shower, and Queen Bee.

Flower Garden Sampler Free Chart

It's been a while since I've released a free chart and I'm excited to share this one with you.  I stitched it with some special hand dyed Silk 'N Colors from The Thread Gatherer. What I like about this chart is that you can use your favorite multi dyed thread for the alphabet and pick two coordinating solids for the vines and flowers. So go through your thread stash and pull out those threads you've been hoarding. They will go perfect in this little chart.

If you are interested in stitching it like mine I do have some limited edition kits available. There are some kits that have linen, silk threads and silk sari ribbon for finishing. Or there are kits that just have the silk threads and the silk sari finishing ribbon.  Send me your email and I will get you more information and send you a paypal invoice.
