Updates ~

I think an update is long over due. So here is a wrap up of what we've released this summer.  First there are the May, June, July and August Floral Postcards.  There are fun, quick to stitch and can be framed or finished into a small pillow or hanging to display each month.

 Then there are the next two in the Bird Sampler Series.  There is the Robin Sampler and the Chickadee Sampler. I love the R & R Reproductions fabric this is stitched on. Coming this fall there will be one last one to bring the total in the series to 6. It will be a Goldfinch Sampler.  These can be combined into one band sampler with simple directions available as a free chart. If you would like the PDF files of the combination sampler, please email me and I'll get it off to you.  madebywendy @ gmail .com

This bird series has been so much fun to do. And to carry on the with the bird theme, there is a cute bird pincushion coming in August.  Stay tuned for more information on that.  It is one of my favorites.

Note ~ The Robin Sampler is missing a symbol.  The letters are stitched the same red color as the Robin's Red Breast.

Sunflower Fields ~

Here is a fun new release.  It is called Sunflower Fields. I have stitched it two ways and the chart includes three thread palettes for you to choose from.  Weeks Dye Works threads, Silk 'n Colors from The Thread Gatherer, and DMC. My favorite thing about this chart is the 6" Lone Elm Lane box that it is shown on. These are such high quality boxes and so fun to display stitching on. There is also an extra little chart for the front and back of a scissor fob.  The chart includes little corner motifs you can stitch to make the piece square to frame or put on a pillow, or leave them off to put your piece on the Lone Elm Lane box.

Colorful Quakers

I have enjoyed this series of Colorful Quaker designs.  So far there are the Autumn Quaker, Spring Quaker, Patriotic Quaker and Summer Quaker.  Watch for the Halloween Quaker and Christmas Quaker coming this fall.

Frances Carter Sampler

And here is the first of the Spring Releases for Nashville.

This is the Frances Carter Sampler. It is dedicated to my Grandma Frances. She was a writer and I love reading her books of poetry and short stories. This sampler has a few lines from one of her poems.

Lilacs are in bloom;
Beautiful as quaint old lace,
Fragrant as young love.

This chart is also the first to introduce my new format charts.
They have a cover photo and instructions in a reusable ziplock bag.

The stitch count is 152 wide by 138.  I stitched it on 32 count Lambswool Linen, over 2 threads. It measures 9 1/2 inches wide by 9 inches high. It is stitched with 2 ply of Sampler Threads from The Gentle Art: Grape Arbor, Moonlit Path, Raspberry Frost, Endive, Harvest Basket, Summer Shower.
